Fremont Street Plaza
June 2026
I conceived and led a partnership between the Beaumont Business Association and the Portland Bureau of Transportation to create a new public plaza on NE Fremont Street through the city’s street plaza program. The project received PBOT approval and is set for completion by June 2026. I’m currently curating a weekly summer events program to activate the plaza and define its role as a community gathering space.

April 2025
The Ming Lounge was a natural fit for an experimental night of music, continuing a near 100-year history of shows ending at 4AM—from Louis Armstrong to the seedy underground of punk, hardcore, and noise performances.
I leaned into dreamlike presentation, with lighting and decoration that evoked both the surreal and domestic. A lattice of lasers echoed the tiled backdrops found in the marketing collateral.

Group Sound
2021 - present
Group Sound is an artist collective founded in 2021 known in Portland’s underground scene for hosting immersive shows with a DIY, communal aesthetic.
The early brand had an approachable, down-to-earth feel to contrast with typically commercial nightlife graphics. The project initially centered on intimate private gatherings of 100 to 120 guests, often themed or costumed. We retained the grassroots feel as we grew, continuing to cultivate an ethos of inclusivity, playfulness, and free expression.

Void I-IV
2022 - 2025
Void is a multi-stage show held in late October as an invitation towards emptiness and all that might emerge from its depths. The mythos developed through event blurbs and decoration is both existentially dreadful and deeply unserious. In 2023, the Void engulfed Heaven and Hell which demanded two spaces with drastically different moods to suit its theme. In 2024, the Void expanded into the rest of the universe so the theme spiraled into cosmic horror.
The musical curation spans from forward-thinking techno with an industrial palette, to 80’s new wave and synth punk. In a city that increasingly attracts internationally touring DJs, Void’s all-local lineups have had strong turnouts every year.

Bloom I-III
2022 - 2025
Bloom is an annual Group Sound show held in the spring, originally themed around the equinox. Canopies of repurposed invasive ivy, glowing petals, and verdant textures are installed to rouse dancers from Portland’s prolonged grey season and inspire some much needed optimism.
The musical curation often spans balearic house, dembow, breakbeat, and nostalgic rave selections.
In 2025, $500 of proceeds were donated to IRCO.
